I was completely blown away by this amazing woman last night. She is incredibly talented and I can only imagine how much the art worls misses her…

Thanks, Aaron, for asking me  to stay up and watch Beautiful Losers with you last night.

Lena Galligan was a caring, generous, and wonderful person. Our grandma was someone who definitely knew exactly what being a grandma meant. She took care of my sister and me when we really needed someone to be there for us, and my grandma certainly was. She shielded us from the bad and helped us focus on the good. We played dress up in her old clothes, ate pies, candy, and ice cream for breakfast lunch and dinner, and allowed Steph and I to do anything to her hair, which often ended in some interesting styles. She took us on many fun adventures whether it was a trip to the local toy store or a vacation in Hawaii, I always knew I was going to have fun with my grammy.  Steph and I would always tell Grandma Lee how much we loved her, and she would always playfully respond, “I love you more.”  Grandma Lee provided shoulder to laugh or cry on, always there and could always be depended on. She was more important to me than I could possibly describe. She will be greatly missed and I will always love her more.
A Hopi Prayer:
Do not stand at my grave and weepI am not there. I do not sleep.I am a thousand winds that blow.I am the diamond glints on snow.I am the sunlight on ripened grain.I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hushI am the swift uplifting rushOf quiet white doves in circled flight.I am the soft stars that shine at night.Do not stand at my grave and cry;I am not there, I did not die.

Morgan and I played pool last night at this crazy expensive pool hall. The music was controlled by some dude who thought we were back in the 90’s and kept playing shit like Staind…then…some Metallica. I used to be a huge fan, and still enjoy it from time to time…the song chosen was “Master of Puppets”, but it got me thinking of my favorite Metallica song…one of my faves has always been “One,” not sure why…but it is a good song. Morgan and I also decided that Master of Puppets is probably the best album of its kind…so, I watched the video today and it is pretty fucked up, but pretty damn good…little depressing too…but, hey, it’s still relevant today…enjoy a serious blast from the past!
